Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) are residential schools established by the Government of India to provide quality education for girls from disadvantaged communities, especially in rural, tribal, and educationally backward areas. The scheme was launched in 2004 to improve girls’ enrollment, retention, and completion of school education.
