Fear of coming out

Mulugu: Stray dogs are roaming freely in Mulugu district. They are roaming in groups and attacking anyone they see. Such incidents have been causing panic in the respective mandals of the district for the past few days. Due to this, people are afraid to come out of their houses. The dogs are especially attacking children and the elderly. Despite all this, there is widespread criticism that the authorities are acting like they are being treated with lemon juice.

From laddus to oil: Telangana SERP’s Mahua project to expand in Mulugu

Encouraged by the success of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) is planning to establish three processing units in Mulugu district to expand value-added activities around forest produce. The proposed units, to be set up at Kondaparti, Kannepally and Medaram in SS Tadvai mandal, will focus on extracting Mahua and Kanuga (Pongamia pinnata) oil, in addition to laddu production.

Mulugu: Farmers’ Festival in Govindaraopet: District level ‘Kisan Mela’ held with great fanfare!

Mulugu District: District level Kisan Mela under the auspices of the Agriculture Department at PSR Garden in Govindaraopet Mandal. Technical Kisan Mela Conference held from 10 am to 5 pm. The chief guest was the State Minister for Panchayati Raj & Women and Child Welfare, Seethakka Palgonna District Collector Hemanth Sahadeva Rao, Oil Paid Chairman Janga Raghav Reddy, District Agriculture Department officials, and farmers who participated in large numbers.

We should illuminate society with service

Mulugu: Tense conditions prevailed in Eturu Nagaram mandal center in Mulugu district. Non-tribals held a rally at the mandal center protesting the encroachment of their cultivated lands by tribals in the name of an agency. The situation became tense when the police asked the non-tribals to stop the rally. Full details are awaited.
