Bonalu is a traditional Hindu folk festival celebrated in Telangana, chiefly in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, to honor Goddess Mahakali. Observed during the month of Ashada Masam (June–July), it expresses gratitude for divine protection and symbolizes Telangana’s vibrant cultural identity.
